When Nisha woke, she was thoroughly confused. She was in a strange, dark room, naked under the bedsheets and feeling a new sense of happiness. Her phone was on the bedside table. She clicked it on to see it was 3:00 a.m. Then it all came back. The show, the conversation with Sameer, and him giving her not one but two mind-blowing orgasms. Had that all just happened a few hours ago? Then she sat up straighter. Her mother would be worried sick about her. She didn’t stay overnight with anyone, not even when she was dating. If nothing else, she always kept up appearances with her traditional mother. It was a matter of respect.

She swung her legs off the bed and discovered her ruined dress and panties on the floor. She groaned. Though she had a change of clothes, she’d left the bag in the conference room downstairs. There was a robe in the closet, which she belted tightly. She used the attached bathroom to wash her face. The fabulous makeup from the show was smeared all over her face, making her look like the bride of Frankenstein. It took all of the little hotel soaps and washcloths to scrub the makeup from her face.

Is this real? Two months ago, Sameer seemed like a dream. Now she was living her adolescent fantasies.

She made her way downstairs. There was a light on in the kitchen. Sameer was sitting at the kitchen island, clicking away on a laptop. He was wearing sweatpants and a T-shirt, her favorite outfit on him. His hair was mussed and her body reacted instantly. She was within touching distance when he noticed her.

“You’re up.”

“You should have woken me up. Ma will be worried. I need to change my clothes and get home...”

“I already texted your mom.” He stood and pulled her into his arms. His body was warm and strong and she nestled into it.

“Since when did you become the responsible one?”

“There’s a lot about me that’s changed.”

She rested her head on his chest. From what she’d seen so far, he had truly become the man of her dreams. But there was still a thorn in her chest that had her questioning if she could trust him with her heart again.

He nuzzled her neck and she felt his erection pressing against her belly. “Have I told you how beautiful you are?” Heat coursed through her body and she rubbed herself sensually against him. While she’d enjoyed him going down on her, she wanted him inside her.

He groaned. “You know, I haven’t been able to look at that sofa since last week.”

She grinned, took his hand and led him to the couch. She pushed him down onto it, removed her robe as he shed his sweatpants. She straddled him. This time their lovemaking was slower, sweeter, and at the end, she felt something quite different from what she had before. She was fulfilled, happy, content—emotions she hadn’t felt for a very long time.

Even after they were done, she sat straddling him.
